Our pets of the month - Robin & Momma

This puppy is our dog for the month of March…this is Robin our bowlegged beagle mix that was dumped at the rescue. He will have to have special surgery that will cost approximately $1800. The surgeon will not give a bigger reduction on the cost. We are asking our supporters to help make this little guys front legs straight and usable otherwise he will become completely crippled and not able to walk at all. We cannot let that tragedy happen to him. Please send any assistance or donations to C.A.R.E. , P. O Box 2203, Hillsboro, Missouri, 63050. We are a NO-Kill and will not put down an animal because they have a handicap.

This little guy only wants a chance to live a good quality of life. Your support can give him that quality of live so he can play and run with the other puppies. We pray for your support and thank you in advance.

Momma Noel has had a hard way to live. She was shot and has a bullet in her leg. In pain with a broken shoulder she still managed to give birth to 8 puppies that are now up for adoption with her. But first, we must get that shoulder fixed because it causes constant pain. She was a wonderful mother, raised her puppies and never showed any pain when you would pet or touch her. Momma Noel is a brave girl. She is now at our sister rescue, Precious Pets, 3535 County Hwy 322, Portageville, MO 63873-9608 under the care of Janet Faulk. She needs surgery as soon as we can afford it because she cannot use the leg. Surgery will cost at least $1500.

We pray that you will give this brave mother a chance to live a complete and full life. She is also up for adoption after the surgery so if there is a loving family out there that can help us, please contact Janet at 573-379-0001 or send donations so we can get Momma Noels surgery scheduled as soon as possible. Help us to help the homeless. Thank you for reading Mommas story.

WHY IT HELPS

Adopting a rescued animal is your best opportunity to find the perfect companion animal to fit your lifestyle and an invitation to become part of the solution to pet overpopulation.

By choosing to adopt, you’ll find available animals in all ages.  Yes, puppies and kittens are an option however you may feel a slightly older or mature dog or cat would be a better match for you.  We generally offer a selection of purebred animals as well as mixed breed.  C.A.R.E. can provide advice to help you select your new ‘best friend’.

In adopting a rescued animal, you can make a difference in the battle to eliminate the irresponsible overpopulation of companion animals that exists in our country today.  Your choice to adopt sends a clear signal of disapproval to the puppy mill industry you’ve heard so much about.

Choose to adopt a rescued animal and cast your vote.
